Səfər çərçivəsində Azərbaycan Respublikasının müdafiə naziri general-polkovnik Zakir Həsənov İsrail Dövlətinin müdafiə naziri cənab İsrael Katz və Müdafiə Qüvvələrinin Baş Qərargah rəisi general-leytenant Eyal Zamir ilə görüşüb.
Ölkələrimiz arasında münasibətlərin yüksək səviyyədə olmasının xüsusi vurğulandığı görüşlərdə hərbi əməkdaşlığın inkişaf perspektivlərinə dair ətraflı fikir mübadiləsi aparılıb.
Rəsmi səfər zamanı Azərbaycan Respublikasının müdafiə nazirinin müavini - Baş direktor cənab Aqil Qurbanov ilə İsrail Müdafiə Nazirliyinin Baş direktoru cənab Amir Baram arasında keçirilən görüşdə hərbi-texniki və hərbi təhsil sahələrində əməkdaşlığın genişləndirilməsi istiqamətində həyata keçirilən tədbirlər və perspektiv planlardan danışılıb.
Nazirliyin rəhbər heyəti, həmçinin İsrail Müdafiə Qüvvələrinin Baş Əməliyyat Mərkəzini ziyarət edərək burada görülən işlərlə tanış olub.
Görüş zamanı İsrailin Müdafiə naziri İsrael Katz iki ölkə arasında dərin strateji müttəfiqliyi yüksək qiymətləndirib, ortaq maraqlar və qarşılıqlı etimadın əhəmiyyətini vurğulayıb.
Tərəflər müdafiə sahəsində əməkdaşlığı genişləndirmək barədə razılığa gəlib.
İsrail müdafiə naziri HƏMAS-ın 7 oktyabr hücumundan sonra dəstəyə, eləcə də, İsraillə Türkiyə arasında vasitəçilik səylərinə görə Azərbaycana təşəkkür edib.
İsrael Katz Azərbaycanın "Eurovision" yarışmasında İsrailə 12 xal verməsini iki hökumət və xalq arasında əsl dostluq əlaməti adlandırıb.

The leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan is on an official visit to Tel Aviv, Israel.
Within the framework of the visit, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Mr. Israel Katz, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir.
During the meetings, where the high level of relations between our countries was particularly emphasized, a detailed exchange of views was held on the prospects for the development of military cooperation.
During the official visit, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Director General, Mr. Agil Gurbanov, and the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Mr. Amir Baram, discussed the measures taken to expand cooperation in the military-technical and military education fields and prospective plans.
The leadership of the ministry also visited the Main Operations Center of the Israeli Defense Forces and got acquainted with the work being done there.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense of Israel, Israel Katz, highly appreciated the deep strategic alliance between the two countries, emphasized the importance of common interests and mutual trust.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of defense.
Israeli Defense Minister thanks Azerbaijan for support after Hamas's October 7 attack, as well as for mediation efforts between Israel and Turkey.
Israel Katz called Azerbaijan's awarding of 12 points to Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest a sign of true friendship between the two governments and peoples.
