Azərbaycan və İsrail prezidentlərinin geniş tərkibdə görüşü keçirilib.

Görüşdə çıxış edən Azərbaycan Prezidenti İlham Əliyev deyib:

- Cənab Prezident, hörmətli nümayəndə heyətinin üzvləri, Azərbaycana xoş gəlmisiniz. Sizi ölkəmizdə qəbul etmək imkanına malik olduğumuza görə çox şadıq.

Sizin Azərbaycana səfəriniz tarixi səfərdir. Dəvətimi qəbul etdiyiniz üçün təşəkkür edirəm. Ümid edirəm ki, Azərbaycana səfər ürəyinizcə olacaq.

İsrail Prezidenti İsaak Hersoq çıxış edərək deyib:

-Çox sağ olun, cənab Prezident. Burada olmaqdan şərəf və məmnunluq hissi duyuram. Biz buraya açıq ürəklə, millətlərimiz arasında böyük dostluqla gəlirik. Ən əsası odur ki, siz mərhum atanızı yetişdirən millətsiniz, sonra isə Siz onun yolunu davam etdirərək elə bir heyrətamiz ölkə yaratmısınız ki, bura bir çox məsələlərin mərkəzinə çevrilib.

İsraillə Azərbaycan arasında tərəfdaşlıq Sizin qeyd etdiyiniz və bizim müzakirə etdiyimiz bir çox sahələrin də təməl nöqtəsidir. Düşünürəm ki, bu, bir çox səviyyələrdə xalqlarımıza mesaj göndərir. İlk növbədə, hesab edirəm ki, bu, elə bir mesaj göndərir ki, yəhudilər və müsəlmanlar birlikdə sülhə doğru addımlasalar, birgə açıq dialoq aparsalar, birlikdə dünyanın xeyrinə çalışsalar birlikdə möhtəşəm işlər görə bilərlər. Əlbəttə ki, cənab Prezident, mən qarşılıq göstərərək Sizi İsraildə qəbul etməyi səbirsizliklə gözləyirəm.

A meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel was held.

 Speaking at the meeting, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said:

 - Mr. President, members of the esteemed delegation, welcome to Azerbaijan.  We are very glad to have the opportunity to receive you in our country.

 Your visit to Azerbaijan is a historic visit.  Thank you for accepting my invitation.  I hope that the visit to Azerbaijan will be to your heart's content.

 Israeli President Isaac Herzog made a speech and said:

 - Thank you very much, Mr. President.  I feel honored and satisfied to be here.  We come here with an open heart and great friendship between our nations.  The most important thing is that you are the nation that raised your late father, and then you followed in his footsteps to create such an amazing country that has become the center of many issues.

 The partnership between Israel and Azerbaijan is the foundation of many areas that you have mentioned and that we have discussed.  I think it sends a message to our nations on many levels.  First of all, I think it sends a message that if Jews and Muslims work together toward peace, if they engage in open dialogue together, if they work together for the good of the world, they can do great things together.  Of course, Mr. President, I look forward to receiving you in Israel in return.
