Along with the German pilots, the chief inspector of the Luftwaffe, Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz personally came to Israel.  He was welcomed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Israeli Air Force, Major General Tomer Bar, at the air parade held in honor of the Independence Day.
